what could tip things in favor of the bulls? if the white house and congress can come together on some kind of tax reform, this market would roar if they would pass what our president describes as the biggest tax cut in history. although have you noticed he tends to you hyperbole? however the markets clearly skeptical of washington's ability to get things done, because otherwise the averages would have soared instead or just bide their time and go up at the end of the day. we're still in earnings season, which is now back to its garden hose status, instead of the fire hose numbers we have gotten used to. things start early, 6:00 a.m. on monday, when becky sits down with warren buffett as they talk about the world as oracle's buffet season. he sold a third of his stake in ibm. i wonder if that's all he has in store for us as far as the margins. it's always been a fools game to invest in stocks when becky sits down with buffet. i wonder what he'll say about coca-cola's new transition. wha what about the leadership at wells fargo.

first, though, let's go back over the bull case and how it's played out. i last recommend the stock in september and since then, it's given us a nice, 8% gain, that was a post brexit move. why did it like it? while a weaker currency makes it tougher for companies who rely r on imports, it's good news for exports. all of the scotch costs weaker pounds, but all of its exports are in foreign currencies, plus the fact that diageo gets most of its stocks from outside the uk. which gives it the boost it has been experiencing. now it's not just brexit, though, this is what's really important. there's another big reason i like diageo, it has to do with turn around in mccau. for years china was ripe with corruption, and if you wanted to bribe an official, you gave them a bottle of expensive scotch. in the last year, particularly in the last few months, mccau has roared back. i bet they also feel just fine giving each other expensive liquor. i'm not saying i approve of bribe bribery. but when you live in a communist country, paying people off is kind of how things g

it's absolutely undeniable it's a long bull market, but bull markets do not die because they're overinflatedthey die because of sickness. this economy is not sick. you cannot, however, argue the fact that equity marketings are pric pricey. >> right. >> right now, the s&p 500 is 50% overvalues from where it was at the peak of the market in 2007. now, in comparables, get this, right now, world markets are 20% below the 2012 peak. 10% below, sorry, and 20% below the 2007 peak. what an amazing opportunity if you believe in buying low, right? >> if you buy global, yes. i think that's absolutely right. to your point, i'm not necessarily calling for the end of the bull market because i think he's absolutely right. the economy is doing better. as a trader, you know, i think more day-to-day short term, what's happening today and tomorrow, and when i talk about the market backing off and feeling skiddish, i'm talking short term. long term investor, the market's great. it's a huge opportunity outside the u.s. just because, like you said, the u.s. is a little bit overvalued. >> all right. how frustratin

"mad money" starts now. hey, i'm cramer. welcome to "mad money." welcome to cramerica. my job is not just to entertain but to educate and teach you. so call me or tweet me @jimcramer. on a day where the dow gained 84 points. nasdaq advanced 4.6%. the big story is that the industrials are stalling out here. that's right. they're stalling out while the techs are head rot. what does that mean? you can easily interpret this action on an hour by hour basis, suggesting that we need to be worried about an economic slowdown. but i think that would be a mistake. to me the teches are roaring while the industrials languish, because investors keep gravitating toward the companies that have the most up site in the second half. now that it looks like the trump steam roller has run out of gas. remember, is stock market is a forecasting machine, it looks ahead about six to nine months. we thought that the president would repatriate foreign assets, tax cuts and lots of deregulation. wall street is enamored of him. which mean

the ten-year, that yield is not cooperating with bulls by rising. 2.25, basically holding steady there. oil just backing off slightly from the recent highs over the last week or so. wti off slightly. the u.s. dollar coming of a weak stretch here. you had the u.s. dollar index at a low from the day after the u.s. election day was the last time the dollar was at this level. and the euro is the driver. the yen got a slight bid, and the british pound just a touch weaker against the dollar. >> turning to the day ahead on wall street, housing data is front and center today. april new home sales out at 10:00 a.m. eastern. they're forecast to slip a percent after a jump of 6% in march. as for earnings, aud to zone before the opening. and after, intuit. there's talk in the markets that maybe the fed won't be as aggressive. lael brainard talked about how the inflation story is not materializing. >> it has weighed on the dollar. june is still considered pretty much likely for a hike, but it's the matter of the path after that. we'll keep an eye on that. >>> in washington, president trump's 2018 b
