i'm peggy bunker. terry mcsweeney has the day off. police are looking for a suspect in downtown san jose when a deadly confrontation took place off of 280 and west virginia on 2nd street. marianne favro is joining me. what do we know so far? >> reporter: well, police were called here around 10:00 this morning and now more than six hours later, they are still here investigating the homicide. police say a woman stabbed a man to death this morning and they are still looking for her. the man was taken to a nearby hospital where he died. neighbors tell us they are not surprised to hear about the murder. they say this is an area that has seen plenty of crime. >> it's hard to walk over here, especially in the night. it's very dangerous. >> reporter: jose says that it's also known to be a lot of prostitution here. police are still trying to determine a motive for the stabbing. police have not released the name of any suspects or any suspect description and they have not released the name of the victim. reporting live in san jose, marianne fav
