let's talk to doctor andrew vallance—owen, who's former medical director and chief medical officer at bupad morning to you, andrew. look where in terms of how this is going. are we reaching a point, a proper crisis point here where more and more trusts are just hitting this critical incident phase ? incident phase? >> yeah, it's a time of very high stress in the nhs , as it high stress in the nhs, as it always is at this time of year, of course. and no doubt that's one of the reasons the junior doctors have chosen this time. i mean, i think what they're doing is demonstrating how important they are to the nhs , but because they are to the nhs, but because we can see the chaos which is resulting from their from their action. but i think that there our leaders, you know , should be our leaders, you know, should be thinking now before they completely lose public support. at the moment they have still got it. and according to opinion polls , um, now is the time to polls, um, now is the time to say, okay, we will negotiate . i say, okay, we will negotiate. i think i'm critical of those leaders
