burlington, vermont was 96 and syracuse was 94. heat dangerous, not the daytime highs, at night you don't get relief. it is still feeling like 80 degrees in burlington, vermont. if you don't have air-conditioning that's a very uncomfortable night sleeping. still feels like 79 in newark and minneapolis, too, feels like 81 when you walk outside. so we have a couple areas that are underheat advisories today. the northeast will cool off with rain this afternoon. and speaking of rain, way too much of it lately in areas of arkansas. more thunderstorms this morning. we have a couple flash flood warnings. we have a flood watch that does include the little rock area all the way to texas ar canna and we'll see more soaking rain during the day today. so it's hazy, hot and humid in the northeast but then thunderstorms cool you off this afternoon. and just plain hot throughout the middle of the country. kasie, as we go throughout the week, it will slowly cool down and then it looks to be much cooler this weekend in the northeast, back to normal
