somebody lit a baby on fire in the middle of a burlington county street. nbc 10's matt delucia is live at st. christopher's hospital in philadelphia where the child is receiving emergency treatment. matt what have you learned about the circumstances of this crime? >> reporter: rosemary the baby we're told is very young, possibly a newborn. and at this point it is still unclear whether or not this baby will survive. take a look this is what we found when we got to the scene, in pemberton township burlington county, simenton road near stockton's bridge road. police there tell us they got a call just before 11:00 last night, neighbors reported commotion out in the middle of the street. that's when officers found the baby who was lit on fire. that baby was flown to the hospital and, we're told was alive at the time. we're also told a woman about 22 years old was at the scene. she was taken to a nearby hospital as well. as of early this morning, investigators were still trying to figure out if she is the mother and if she was the one who lit the fire. but those

we did get more details from the burlington county prosecutors' office not long ago.-old. she has been charged with one count of murder after prosecutors say she set her own child on fire. doused in some sort of flammable liquid and set on friday late friday night in pemberton new jersey an unspeakable crime and the most innocent of victims. >> you see site like that it puts everything in perspective. >> reporter: day joseph saw the fire from his window many people have burn edgar batch before. he went to investigate. >> we thought it was a fire, somebody dumping everything down there but when we found out what it was, it was just -- it was a nightmare. >> reporter: says jeff says in the middle of road an infant was on fire. firefighters arrived put out the fire and the child was air lifted to saint christopher's children's hospital. that's where the baby died. >> as soon as i found out it was a baby, it was just -- the baby was charred. it was on fire for at least a little while. >> reporter: late in the afternoon on saturday, authorities confirm that the person resp

atlantic city getting a little bit of this but in parts of burlington county and special ocean countyreal significant snow. in brick township for example in ocean county about 1 o'clock in the morning we had a 2-inch an hour band that did come in for awhile. we're up to about six or 7-inches in parts of this county. does look like we'll probably top out at about maybe eight or nine over there but the closer you move towards the east the worse it's going to be and western suburbs looking pretty good. up in new york city not going to be as bad up there as we were originally thinking although they're still technically in blizzard warning up there. i'll just give you that wide view so you can be left with that impression. bands still trying to make their way down toward the west but kind of falling apart as they get much past philadelphia the way things are looking now. as we take a look outside, we have sky 6 and there you see penn's landing and the river ring, not a whole lot going on out there of course right now as everybody was in expecting a lot of snow and in philadelphia it's goin

i-95 corridor, we'll see the heavy snow move into burlington county. also mercer county near trenton. that will continue to move overnight near philadelphia. into tomorrow morning we'll see the heavy snow falling. through the noon hour we could have a band of snow coming back into the area. so storm totals anywhere from 10 to 15 inches for the trenton area, i-95 corridor through parts of burlington county 6 to 10 around the philadelphia area. that does stretch areas north and west 3 to 6 for parts of new castle county. through south jersey and delaware this is an area where we'll be watching especially new jersey. we'll see some heavy snow around atlantic city ocean county, down to parts of cape may county overnight when we'll see the heaviest snow. into the morning hours, 45-mile-an-hour winds, blowing snow. we will be seeing the chance for coastal flooding. we'll take a closer look at snowfall totals. jooishgsz jooishgsz. >>> delays and cancellations are inevitable with weather like this. let's check conditions at philadelphia international. >> harry

snow totals for northern burlington county, 15 to 20 inches expected. d see amounts even higher than that. if you're closer to philadelphia proper delaware county 10 to 15 inches expected. and then closer to wilmington new castle county 6 to 10 inches. so again, the same thing is true. the further out west you go, our snowfall totals go down. a closer look at the poconos, the lehigh valley heading into our overnight hours. we're going to see more of a moderate and heavy snowfall for allentown pushing into most of lehigh valley. quakertown lighter snowfall expected for redding. as we head throughout the day, this is going to be a consistent 2 to 4 inches monday evening. monday night into tuesday, this is when the snow really starts to pile up. so by 6:00 a.m. on tuesday, we're still dealing with heavy rainfall coming down. that's going to push our snowfall totals 12 to 15 inches near quakertown. near pottstown, 8 to 12 inches. if you're just to the south of redding, closer to 5 to 8 inches. a lot of snow heading our way over the next 48 hours. we definite

that's exit number 40 here in mount laurel in burlington county. a busy area and now you've got a jackknifed tractor-trailer blocking at least the left lane at this point. this just coming in. in new jersey a camera on 42, that's northbound traffic at creek road. we're not seeing any big problems no big delay from turnersville or blackwood yet. we're looking pretty good. watch out for some slick spots but most of the traffic is moving fine right here. on the big picture matt and tam just talked about this problem a hazmat situation dara street between margaret and folcroft street. all the crews on the scene at this point at dara street so avoid that area. later tonight the sixers play at 7:00 so you'll see congestion in south philadelphia. although it's mostly dry we have been looking at some of the secondary roads and currently seeing some slick spots. i think you get the idea looking at this picture. 202 parkway at county line road. people moving okay just use caution. >> let's go to our breaking story. firefighters and police act like the heroes

so 10 to 15 inches mercer county, much of burlington county and into ocean county. six to ten across eastern pennsylvania down through many of the jersey suburbs and down toward atlantic city. look at the drop-off back to the west. three to six inches farther to the west. now, here is an example of what is going on. this is one computer model that actually brings a lot of snow in eventually. here we are 11:00 tonight and look. there isn't much. so this afternoon into early this evening, that is not the peak of the storm. so if it's not snowing hard by 8:00 tonight, that doesn't mean the storm isn't happening. by 6:00 a.m. again, this model has six for philadelphia, 12 for trenton, 18 for new york city. again, we'll get this contrast. we're not making this stuff up. this is just out of one model that sometimes tends to be a little on the high side for snow totals. so you'll notice they are down a little bit. we're going to be seeing some occasional light snow. it's windy. it's going to be cold all day, but much colder tonight and tomorrow when things get not just inc

burlington county where meteorologist kate bilo is on the road. she's in pemberton now. kate, how is it looking there? >>reporter: chris it's been pretty quiet out here i got to tell your for the past couple of hours. it's a light fluffy snow. you you can see what has already fallen here tonight about an inch or snow. again, that really light fluffy texture. as we were driving around we were noticing some blowing and some reduced visibility as the winds pick up. i also want to direct your attention to the flag here. let's take a look at this. tom is going to pan over and you can see that flag is really standing at attention. the winds are gusting in pemberton and the winds will pick up through new jersey through the rest of tonight. we're looking at temperatures generally only in the upper 20s. we're at 27.5 degrees, just reported a wind gust of 8 and a half miles per house, so the winds are getting a little bit stronger out here right now. i do want to show you the radar currently. kathy mentioned how the snow is fistulaing when it hits the new j

areas over to the east in ocean county and parts of burlington county and mercer county still gettingt amount of snow but nothing like it would have been had the storm been closer and stronger. so be careful from about philadelphia east where there is some snow still falling. those advisories and warnings have all been shifted to the east by the national weather service over the last couple of hours. the advisories still in philadelphia but pretty light snowfall amounts. the warning area could get a little bit more snow and notice how the blizzard warning has been pushed all the way down toward the eastern end of long island. new york city no longer included in that. snowfall totals we're not getting a lot of reports. these go back to about 1 o'clock in the morning but brick township in ocean county is up to 6-inches by then and probably more by now. furlong bucks county two-point tomorrow. you have probably added an additional inch. mount holly one time .2. by the time all is said and done we'll probably only wind up with about an inch in the city. that's what we're calling for one t

today we learned some of those horrifying frankly disturbing details of what burlington county police say happened to that unfan girl. she was no older than an hour or two old. the mother babi' twos-year-old mother today appearing in court for the first time to face murder charges. it may be hard to believe what police say 22-year-old hyphernkemberly dorvilier did to her newborn baby daughter. pemberton police say shortly after her baby was born she wrapped it inside a blanket doused it with flammable liquid and set the baby on fire. it happened along the shoulder of simon town road. >> today she made her first appearance in burlington county court wearing an orange jumpsuit telling the judge she understood the charges. according to an arrest affidavit, an eyewitness a neighbor dave joseph saw the young mother standing near the fire holding a can of wd40. she toll the man she was burning a pile of dog feces. but when she poured water on the fire a baby began crying from under the towels and papers which were on fire. the witness tackled doorville lower follow police got there. >> the

holly burlington county, chris o'connell fox 29 news. >> you saw it first on fox. now a former philly state rep who was the subject of a fox 29 investigation has plead guilty to a felony charge. the plea comes after the philly da brings corruption charges. jp miranda represented a north philadelphia district in the spring of 2013 jeff cole and fox 29 investigates broke the story that miranda had a ghost employee on his staff. a guy on the clock but off the job. the da's public corruption unit opened a probe and charged him with using the ghost worker to funnel money to his sister michelle wilson. both miranda and wilson were hit with felony corruption charges. today a day before their trial miranda plead guilty to one felony count of conflict of interest and lesser charge of making false statement. his sister michelle wilson plead guilty to the lesser charge of making false statements. they will both be sentenced in march. >> berks county a man arrested for dism. has a whole lot more trouble on his hands. an investigation by the police department and da drug task f

we have a band of these snow squalls that are working into south jersey, burlington county right overhey're brief but they are intense. they create virtual whiteout conditions and drop a quick coating of snow and this is really the most intense snow squall we have right now right over frankford. it's beginning to cross 95. we have another one that's moved over the new jersey turnpike near mount laurel and you can see just how quickly they move in. it's sunny one minute, five minutes later, you have a coating of snow on the ground. and i do have a photo i want to share with you. this is from west norriton pennsylvania. david showed me this and you can see how the snow really is creating a virtual whiteout condition as it moves through very quickly. so, this is what to expect for tonight. we're looking at reduced visibilities with these scattered snow squalls, that brief burst of snow, it's all coming on wind gusts 40 to 50 miles per hour so could leave a quick coating on the ground much this is what's happening now. however, i'm tracking the potential for a much bigger storm by the end
