janelle burrell is live from the scene with more. janelle? >> reporter: chris, another monday morning, another headache for a lot of residents here in hoboken this morning. the good news, this water main break not nearly as bad as the one they experienced in the you can see just a bit of water on the ground here on monroe street. it has receded considerably, but 100 people are wake up this morning without water. >> reporter: this hot water once again bubbling from the streets of hoboken after yet another water main break in the city overnight this time the rupture happening just after midnight between 1st and 2nd streets on the city's southside. views blocking water from the road. the crew were on the scene working to make are repairs. hoboken officials announced they fixed the main in the 24- inch water main and a 36-inch valve just a week away. the disruption lasted a week, flooding streets, and it left many frustrated business owners and resident dents without water for days. >> it's difficult. people have babies where i live, and it's har

janelle burrell has new information. she is live in newark this morning. >> reporter: well, chris, we confirm for you that two suspects are in custody. one of them at an area hospital after being shot once by police. and all of this unfolding here at this sunoco gas station at the intersection of court and washington street in downtown newark. and believe it or not, the gas station attendants have since re-opened but obviously very shaken by this ordeal. and all of this unfolding around 12:30 this morning. they tell us that two men, one in a mask armed with a gun came in demanding cash. now around the same time, they tell us that a newark police officer who sometimes stops by this gas station happened to be in the area. another clerk saw him and flagged him down. one of those clerks spoke with happened next. >> he came to me and say, open the register. so i open this register, there's no money in it. so i came to second register. there's money in it. so he pick the money which is want. the other guy told him, the police

janelle burrell has more from the flatiron district this morning. >> reporter: yeah, chris, police tell us that a 21-year- old woman was here near the intersection of broadway and west 28th street around 2:00 a.m. when she saw a group having an argument and heard shots fired. that's when she ran into a hotel and realized she had been grazed on her leg. soon after, investigators were out here scouring the scene, walking up and down this block, shell casings and talking with witnesses who were around at the time of the shooting. police say four men in their 20s were seen taking off from the scene in what they believe is a black suv. police this morning searching for that vehicle, searching for those suspects. as for the 21-year-old woman, she is being treated at bellview hospital. she is in stable condition. reporting live this morning, janelle burrell, cbs 2 news. >> thank you. >>> hundreds of first responders are on their way to washington, d.c. to rally for a permanent extension of the act. this is a live look of them loading buses. they want congress to extend the federally funded pro

cbs 2 janelle burrell has more. janelle? >> reporter: well mary police were out here all night and into the early morning hours searching for that third accomplice whose still on the run here this morning but we want to show you what the scene looked like last night when police first arrived on the scene. monroe street and bedford avenue looking for that teenager. police say this began just after 7:30 last night . the man seen on surveillance video on a stretcher they say he pulled out a weapon on an undercover detective who fired back striking him in his torso and arm. well it turns out that the 20 year old suspects weapon was actually a bb gun. that 20 year old is now in the hospital in stable condition. one of his accomplices was arrested and right now investigators are working to see if the trio was the same group that robbed a woman responding to an online posting for an apartment here. the search continues for the third suspect here this morning. reporting live from brooklyn, janelle burrell, cbs 2 news. >>> 6:32 now t
