a resident showed us where that main water line burst. you can't see it, but the property manager told us it's a large steel pipe that ruptured deep underground. he immediately called him a reputable plumber who told him they could fix it. it wasn't until saturday afternoon that they found a fourth plumber with engineering experience who was able to restore the water yesterday afternoon. but only for a short period of time. residents tell us the water was on for about an hour yesterday afternoon, but that fix failed and it burst again. this morning the plumber is back out here to try a different technique to fix that pipe and restore the water. the city of pleasanton was out here to fix the situation and i spoke with the property manager who said he's upset about how long this is going to take and they will be giving residents back a credit for a hotel and for how long they have been without water. they are praying that it doesn't turn into more days without water. >> the inconvenience continues. thanks, bob. >>> speaking of alameda count
