. >> reporter: erica, we are waiting for the storms to develop later on this afternoon. the meteorologists are busyt to point out something to you. twice a day here they release these helium filled weather balloons and attached is an instrument that goes up into the atmosphere and collects the meteorology data that the meteorologists need to make the forecast. we are going to get this all set up. we will do that launch live in just a second. take a look at the storms we saw yesterday. i noticed i captured the picture of the bolt of lightning. we had the sunset on my left and there was a giant storm to my north/northeast. the bolt of lightning was insane. indicative of the vivid lightning. we are looking at the chance of tornadoes today. the tornadoes yesterday were caught in northern texas. today, more storms seen in western kansas. take a look at some of the storms that we saw yesterday. hail the size of baseballs to the north of where i am in norman oklahoma. hail so thick in places it looked like snow on the ground. we have rain in the area and more rain yesterday that roads were completely floo

erica is here with us with more on this. >> let's put this in per perfective. blue bell is sold in 23 states and it's really like an institution in texas, it's been in business for 108 years and it's first recall was this year for a this listeria problem which we are now learning dates back two years to one of its facilities. the fda insists it was not aware of the problem untiles own inspection this year. tainted ice cream has forced blue bell to shut down three of its plants as it works to thoroughly sanitize them. authorities investigated blue bell plants and blue bell new of issues years ago saying you failed to demonstrate your cleaning and sanitizing program is effective. the report lists more than a dozen areas within the oklahoma facility where listeria contamination was found. as recently as january of 2015 and dating as far back as march of 2013. listeria is a bacteria that causes food poisoning and can be especially dangerous for children, the elderly and pregnant women. the fda said that blue bell continued to ship out ice cream made at that oklahoma plant even after it found inadequate cleaning methods last year the deaths of three people in kansas

erica. >>> in this alert, we're talking about chronic fatigue syndrome. it's a condition many experts didn't think existed for many years. here's andrea roane with more. >> reporter: ryan pryor was a busy student. he was council president, captain of the cross-country team and played soccer. but during his junior year, everything slowed down. >> just walking a couple hundred yards would be hugely draining. >> reporter: after months of low energy, muscle pain and mental fogginess, doctors still couldn't nail down a cause. >> i had to see an infectious disease specialist, a couple of rheumatologists, neurologists, a psychiatrist. >> reporter: he was eventually diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome or cfs. the doctor of the comprehensive sleep care center in arlington says to diagnose cfs, the fatigue must have been around for over six months. it can't be explained by another medical or psychiatric disorder. the fatigue has to be interfering with day-to-day activities, and the patient will have four out of eight physical symptoms. >> swollen, tender lymph nodes, recurring headaches, if they have pain in their muscles, in their joints, if they have problems with short-term memory or some
