bw parkway a little bit slow southbound into town. >>> right now metro is in the final phase of testing trains on the silver line before it officially opens on saturday. right now the empty silver line trains are running rush hour service and that could mean delays. megan mcgrath live at the franconia spring field station. >> reporter: with the opening of the silver line comes several new stations. so more options for folks along the metro system. also some people are expected to see a decrease in wait times for trains. however, if you ride the blue line, you may actually see a negative impact. you may see your wait time increase. there are only so many trains that can go through the roslyn tunnel, a choke point in the system. so to make way for the silver line trains, they are actually going to decrease the number of the blue line trains. so what does that mean for commuters? blue lane trains will come every 12 minutes during rush hour. that is up from 8 1/2 minutes. metro says that wait times will go he from from an average of four minutes to 6 minutes. so an increase of two minutes.
