learned the brakes on this small plane failed causing it to run off the runway this morning at bwi marshall. chopper 4 shot this video of the plane on a grassy area. the faa says the brake problem happened around 8:00 a.m. just as the twin engine jet was landing. fortunately no one was hurt. >>> a woman killed by a tractor trailer on the beltway may have gotten out of her car just seconds before. this happened early this morning on the ifrnlt loop in greenbelt. the truck driver stayed at the scene and has not charged. at one point two lanes were shut down. police are talking to another person who may have been with the woman before the tractor trailer hit her. >>> she was known for her giving and her selfless nature. that's how murdered d.c. mother amy savopoulos is remembered in today's "washington post." the owe bit rather says her husband savvas represented loyalty and devotion, integrity, compassion and kourg. and their 10-year-old son philip already knew he wanted to be a race car driver. the savopoulos family and their housekeeper were found murdered in their home earlier this month.
