here now, byron pitts. >>> good evening. thank you for joining us. tonight all eyes on the hawkeye state, home to the much-anticipated iowa caucus. but tonight the unprecedented delay. no projections of a winner yet. the iowa democratic party saying the results are, quote, postponed due to quality checks, adding that they found inconsistencies in the reporting. we now go straight to abc's political director rick klein. rick, what are you learning tonight? >> reporter: byron, this is a complete meltdown of the voting process and of the reporting system. these are caucuses. a little different than regular elections. people gather in these rooms, then those results get tabulated in the rooms and then they get sent back to party headquarters. 1600 of these locations. that's where the problems started. the party had an app it had never used before. that didn't work in all cases. and what happened was some of the information wasn't getting sent or the party was noticing inconsistencies in that information. then some of these precinct people would try to ca

i'm not sure he can deliver on that. >> byron pitts, as we're watching the candidates who clearly didn'took exhausted after this week -- i think we are expecting them to look exhausted after this incredible week. here comes joe biden. he's going right back out there again. he's clearly enjoying this. i will tell you one thing. mary was talking about this earlier with me as well. klobuchar has had many moments in debates. he's had some strong debates, but she doesn't seem to move up and in fact has faded a bit. do you think this will take her back up in the polls? >> you have to think, if it doesn't, what will in most reasonable people will say, she made one tonight, but will it translate into money tomorrow? one of the things that surprised me about tonight, as we look at vice president biden -- >> they are clearly enjoying this. andrew yang was jumping up and down for a while. >> mihe's not expected to do we in new hampshire. he's expected to do bet near south carolina. race came up in this debate 90 minutes in from tom steyer. i thought all the candidates when it came to the conversati
