the 31 year old afghan refugee was shot and killed at cesar chavez in potrero in san francisco.on november 28th. according to his wife. he was in his car when someone walked up to him and tried to steal his wallet and then shot him. police in oakland , admitting arrest in connection to a deadly hit and run that killed a 100 year old man, ktvu ktvu has learned that 48 year old occasion norman was arrested on suspicion of that hit and run . ooh taco was walking near 19th and harrison streets at about seven sunday morning when a car slammed into him and kept going. the man suffered severe head trauma and was rushed to a hospital, but he did not survive. the arrestee is an adult female oakland resident. this is still an open investigation. and while this time we believe that person responsible has been arrested. we will continue to investigate and i'm limited in the details i can share at this time. investigators say they use surveillance, video and images to track down the suspect of the car involved white mini cooper oakland police also credit the community with helping them find

san francisco firefighters responded to an encampment fire this morning at cesar chavez street in bayshoreboulevard. smoke from that fire affected highway 101 in both directions. the fire was out. about an hour later, the roads were reopened and there were no reported injuries. the los angeles county sheriff's office has opened a homicide investigation after an auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of los angeles was killed at his home deputies, responding to an emergency medical call found the roman catholic bishop david o. connell fatally shot about one pm yesterday. he was pronounced dead at the scene. investigators are trying to determine who shot the bishop. and why the 69 year old bishop lived in hacienda heights suburban community and the san gabriel valley. the news of his killing, shocked and saddened all who respected and loved him. very hurt. very hard by his passing. because he's one of the most. lovable homework, persons i've ever met. memorial of flowers, candles, cards and notes is growing outside the bishop's home. bishop o. connell has served los angeles for 45 years. coming
