[gunfire] they encamped in several locations around this area, including the thompson neely house, which is also part of our park. things were pretty desperate at this point for washington and the patriot cause. the continental army really needed a win. washington was afraid that the british were going to invade philadelphia and take over the capital. and he really knew that what h
