going to be tempered by this derivatives trading cboe is helpful but that was helpful this amount c.m.e. group bianca's the largest futures exchange most liquid futures exchange all around the world so we've gone from cboe helping out the coin trading so i think c.m.e. really stepping up again and it's a game in a gargantuan style well what do you think this means for oversight and enforcement and that queen trading now that it's become so popular do you think we could see new regulations or major changes going forward. there may be some regulations down down the road i probably look towards you know that the f.c.c. is doing some regulations with regard to my old agency the commodity futures trading commission they're trying to define what an actual physical delivery is so if you have a futures contract and you say i'm one you know january futures on on bitcoin and you actually go to delivery you actually take it that means taking possession of it but how do you take possession of something that you know has existed in cyberspace right so that definition will be a new regulation it's out right

already seen that the price between last week the options as you say and this week just today c.m.e. group which you know the prices are leveling out in between those futures those derivative prices and the actual bitcoin price and that's a good thing says are still going up significantly but at least there is and there's going to be a lot more liquid in this contract that c.m.e. group so i think really positive for bitcoin well what about volatility in bitcoin trading in the underlying coin trading and on the derivatives. right so that the under look the underlying you know bringing that volatility down is key and so far we've seen that that happen it's too early to make any super long term prognostications but my view is that the volatility will be less and that the more liquid as more liquidity comes in that's going to be a really good so i think c.m.e. really stellar do you think we could see you regulate down the road i probably look towards the trading commission they're trying to delivery is so if you have a futures contract and you say i'm one you know january futures on on bitcoin

and i imagine you get a little bit of that i'm curious peter whether or not you think you know c.m.e. group offering a futures contract called the board options exchange offering when i think starting one on monday or twelve or one son sunday night and then even nasdaq saying that they're going to get in the act next year with the futures contract do you think that's also helping to push the price and will that part. question one is it helping to propel the price and two will this bring in some sort of regulatory transparency we talked about you can't know the liquidity you don't have the transparency will that be a good thing that will ultimately keep this going this little bit coin run or big bitcoin run for the forseeable future. well the first part of your question is probably likely that the launching of these futures exchanges and is part of what's driving the buying frenzy although we don't know i mean maybe the price would be this high even if the futures contract wasn't imminent so we don't know that but i can certainly see that as being a catalyst to generate more interest people
