oakland mayor and the city council member cast ballots this morning outside of that caesar chavez library. it is one of alameda county 66 official ballot drop boxes. that is one of the neighborhoods were city officials say it is especially important that voters are heard. the mayor stressed that drop boxes and voting by mail are both safe despite some unsubstantiated rumors to the contrary. in addition to those options early voting begins in person polling places on halloween, saturday, october 31. >>> an effort is underway to recall vallejo city councilmember and mayoral candidate brown. a group of people announced the effort this morning and brown is entangled in controversy regarding past criminal issues with the drugs, guns and mystic violence. the group said that brown hid his criminal history from supporters two years ago when he ran for the city council. >> during his 2018 city council campaign mr. brown deliberately concealed damaging criminal background information about himself for obvious reasons and clearly have the voters been made aware of this long pattern of criminal condu
