i did get an update about cal fire. we know the clayton fire, again, on saturday off highway 29 near clayton creek and late yesterday afternoon the strong winds, high temperatures lead to spot fires in the area. here in lower lake on main street we had a post office, a winery, and several businesses that were burned down as a result of that fire. and as is the case with a lot of wild fires, the weather can make things unpredictable. i spoke with cal fire about the specific issue. >> we don't have control of is our biggest nemesis and that's the weather. that's exactly what happened yesterday. i'm waiting to get a weather report about could it reoccur again today. the fire, obviously, is still an active fire. it's nothing like we saw yesterday afternoon. >> no updates at this time. cal fire expects the numbers to change as they get new information hopefully later this morning. >> thank you so much. >>> and several strike teams from the bay area have been deployed to help fight the clayton fire. including san francisco fi

when we have these situations cal fire obviously. this is a mutual aid not only 3,000 acres, the bigger problem is the structures. downtown lower lake it's got maybe a dozen or two-dozen businesses along the area there. but off the main street are dozens and dozens of homes. those are the homes that caught fire. they want to bring in as many firefighters as they can to prevent those fires from spreading from home to home. basically that's what we saw in middletown during the valley fire. it was a raging inferno that spread to ultimately 2,000 homes. two people lost their lives and the last thing they want is a repeat performance of that. the that's why they bring in so many crews to prevent the fire from going out of control more than it already has. as i said earlier as daybreak comes in another 6 or 7 hours that's when cal fire and these multiple agencies will have a better understanding of what they're up against and how many structures were lost. i can tell you that here on main street not only is it devastated but right now you
