an active effort on behalf of cal fire. they are doing what they can to blunt this fire and stop it from moving toward the oak mont neighborhood. -- oakmont neighborhood. this is neighborhood that's all evacuations early this morning. oakmont, skyhawk, these are the areas of concern right now. the fire has been progressing through but you heard some of the smoke we may be singing could be from backfires. those are fires that are set intentionally to burn out some of the fuel so the buyer does not have any fuel to progress forward. if they can burn some of that area out, that is an area of the fire will hopefully not jump. hopefully they can stop the westward progression of the fire. now that the sun is up, firefighters have had their briefing this morning to figure out what their strategy will be today. a major concern are the winds. hoping we see calm conditions. hopefully we will see an increase in humidity. these are factors that can help firefighters on the line. >> are you feeling the wind? you really don't notice them
