please help me welcome human resources director, mickey cal hann >> thank you very much it is privilege to be here and particularly a privilege to speak about a exciting new program that both doctor [inaudible] and mayor lee mentioned the domestic violence program. we struggled to how to reach out [inaudible] 30 thousand employees the numbers tell us there may be 1300 employees a year who are survivors of domestic violence. domestic violence is also a human resources issue. we have 65 percent of victims of domestic violence report it effected their ability to work. the center for disease control estimate thd cost of domestic violence in the work place to be 1.8 billion dollars nation wide so it is huge. we care about our employees and want them to be safe and that means provide resources in the same way as the wellness program. we were happy to work with wonderful staff [inaudible] also from the department of human resources, chief of policy susan guard. the program is launching this month. we have posters going around and have about 50 people across the city, men and women all backgrou
