cal ripken has weighed in a week report that claimed he wanted to rejoin the orioles and was turned down by owner peter angelo. the owner shot down the report yesterday. we heard from ripken himself. first i want to say that mr. angelos didn't say he wanted me to get any credit for any success the club might have. i met with andy and peter on a couple of occasions to discuss many subjects. ultimately our discussion has turned to baseball, and orioles and me. i have enjoyed the talks very much and yes, the subject has broached to me joining the organization. he says that his son finishing up high school, cal thinking more seriously about a return to the big league game. >>> to the nfl and draft week, everything has changed this year. instead of the o's saturday and sunday format, they found a way to stretch out the whole process. this year the draft begins on a thursday night. they will begin the first round and call it a night. and the remainder will be saturday. it's a big change from what we all have become used to and the ravens say they're ready. >> we can adjust to a lot of things.
