cal tran says it will lift the first leg tomorrow.ransporter reporter says it will be the biggest event on the bay bridge this year. >> okay. so here you see that we're putting in a tower frame. there are two different lifting mechanisms that are going to be involved with this operation. the tower frame is really there to bring all of the equipment and up what it's lifting into place right now is something we call a strand jack gantry, which is a system that has these things on it called strand jacks that basically have cabled in them that go down and lift the heavy tower legs into place within the structure thataway built -- that we've built to lift it up. we're going to bring a barge in and connect the pieces of the tower to the end of the strand jack and lifting that off of the barge. the entire time that we're doing this and this is a six to 12 hour operation, the entire time we're doing this, we have to balance the weight on the barge so that it doesn't tip while the lifting takes place. and over about the next three weeks, we're
