this project courtesy of cal trans. closed in both directions because of the work you see here. the major deck replacement is happening there right now. what you need to know is that northbound and southbound lanes are being diverted on to 280. that will happen until 6:00 a.m. that is when they're expecting to reopen the southbound lanes but reroute that traffic on to the northbound side while workers demolish the southbound deck. the project does appear to be on schedule. they demolished the northbound deck over the weekend and it has been repaved. so, basically, all of that needs to dry so it is good to go. also here another story after a few weeks of sheltering in place, drivers are starting to get back on the roads. according to abc7 news contributor phil traffic on bay area bridges are beginning to edge back up. there has been about a 5% increase every few days. traffic is still significantly lighter than usual. of course, we can see that. but as people slowly return to work in this new temporary normal, fewer people are taking public transit. reggie and kumasi. >> thanks,

cal tran and california high-speed rail authority. tjpa manages the transbay program which includes construction of the transit center and extension of the caltrain rail tracks to the center to accommodate california high-speed rail and caltrain. the project over the past two decades includes in 2005 the redevelopment project area was formed. in 2009tjpa secured the loan to fund the project. in 2015, the city approved the formation of community facilities district and the levee of special taxes to support $1.4 billion of debt. in 2016 after they identified the funding gap, the city provided bridge financing to close the gap which included the general fund. the takeout for the financing wasn't visioned to be the tax allocation bond proceeds which i will talk about in a minute. funding for the project was provided by a variety of federal state and local sources including special taxes on the tax bond. tax increment generated redevelopment area which paid debt service on the city bridge loan. again, the two bond resolutions before you to
