cal fire is very concerned about the potential for wildfires as the temperatures. >> are really starting to heat up heat up again next week. kron four's will tran reports for us now from contra, costa county. >> anything green behind me doesn't stand a chance of the next several days, weeks and months ahead as the hotter season is arriving. we're walking right into fire season and it's going to be potentially dangerous if not even worse than last year because they have the numbers to prove it. as far as this location. this is at line ridge open space and 2 days ago there was a fire that broke out here and the fire department. fortunately jumped all over it by the time they finished in about an hour or so. it burned only one acre is this is one of several wildfires that actually took place in the bay area just this week, the other 2, nothing major, but we're talking morgan hill and also in santa clara counties. so this is just a taste of what's ahead. in fact, cal fire says they've never been busier compared to previous years and the numbers more than bear it out so far this year. they say that their fire activities as far as them jumping on it.
