this bridge that crosses it is a historic bridge, but i want to show you a picture the cal tran team took and tweeted it out. there's damage on the bridge. i think we have a picture to show you that came out over social media. you see there's damage to the roadway itself. we don't know if there's damage to the bridge. this appears to be where it makes landfall on earth side, i understand, of the bridge there is similar damage. we certainly don't want to have cars driving over this until we understand whether or not that is an issue for the bridge structure itself. it's been there since 1911. they'll check on that. that's one of the access points to and from the communities west of highway 101 and acros river. with that cut off, you have to go down to rio del. it looks like a more modern bridge. i don't know the details, but it is open, from what i understand. the problem is getting here from ferndale or the other direction, you have to take areas like blue slide road, which comes alongside, parallel with eel river. somewhere along this stretch there was some hill slippage, so they ha

i never forget the first project i start in the san diego with cal-trans east of san diego in the desert. i was a night time inspector in the freeway and a pack of coyotes came after me. i was like what have i gotten myself into? but then many things such as movingum to big bear lake and the 300 businesses in the san bernardino mountain town was a prediction or train think groundses for what i have had to do many times here in the east cut south of market area. the businesses and making sure they work and working with the public was very important to me. instilled early until my career and i carried it through. to the point where the most important conversations i think i ever had on the project was in oak land wrchl on 880 i was doing a fruit valley retrofit there was a person under the bridge. that i went up to talk to. and i debated seismic analysis with this guy for a couple nights. he was so intel gent and you never that's why you never judge who is out there you never know what conversation and when they are. i'm most proud of my projects here in the city. west approach. west band
