(ken) turning now to chief meteorologist lawrence karnow..(justine) lawrence the relentless hot and dry conditions really providing fuel for fires across the state. lawrence karnow: temperatures cooled a little around the bay area today but still remained hot inland. highs were in the 90s inland with cool 50s and 60s and fog at the coast. it is not as active on doppler today with only a few showers and thunderstorms. the big story is still the hot tempeatures and the fires. the hot weather will continue in the central valley but slowly cool. on the satellite image you can see the high pressure ridge over california. it will weaken slowly over the next five days to allow cooler air from the ocean to move on shore. highs tomorrow will still be in the 90s inland with 70s and 80s around the bay and
