dan, let's talk about southern california.is is one of the strongest santa ana wind events of the year so far. it's a particularly dangerous situation is what the national weather service is calling it. red flag warnings are in effect for southern california. you can see the smoke from our last visible satellite imagery of the mountain fire just getting blown by the wind off across the ocean. so the red flag warnings northern part until 11 a.m. southern part of southern california until 7 p.m. tomorrow. gusty winds remain tonight over 60 mile an hour. wind gusts in the hills right now it is 62 degrees near the mountain fire. 11% relative humidity. so very dry and that east northeast which is a downsloping wind gusting to 28 miles an hour. looking at the hourly wind forecast, it is still going to be very gusty even into the morning hours over 30 mile an hour winds at times locally here the winds have really backed off as we look at a live view from our mount tam cam, but still a bit gusty. 27 miles an hour in the oakland hills.
