participation and support of the regional priorities as well as to have presence at the state wide level with the californian in addition. seeing our delegation in washington d.c. was a great opportunity to see how the commissions are and what they're facing over there. it was a bit sobering to see that congress is really stuck on the sources for transportation. as my report notes, we will be seeing a highway trust fund moving to the red column by july. that's very vehiclesing for us. we rely on our previous /hraeugzs and hopefully we will have the ability to fund these for a little while. at some point, if congress does not come together with the president on a more sustainable funding source for transportation, we're going to see projects slow down and potentially have to stop. we really do want to urge everyone to learn about this issue and really work with our colleagues across the state and look for those votes in congress. it's rare but we see that even when there's pretty much an agreement between the u s chamber of congress and environmental and labor groups, wither not seeing things like the federa
