weeks before election day, democrats are traveling to early voting states on the presidential primary calendar. (grant) california senatorala harris participated in the "get out the vote" rally today in iowa. harris is reportedly eyeing a 20-20 presidential run... but those rumors have not yet been confirmed. at the rally today-- she spoke about access to health care-- and says the united states needs to do better. sen. kamala harris:"this is a moment in time that is requiring each of us, and collectively as a country, to look ask a question. and that question and i believe part of the answer to are better than this. we are better than this." (vicki) tonight harris will appear alongside deidre dejear-- an african american woman running for iowa's secretary of state. dejear was the first black woman to win a statewide primary in iowa. several democrats eyeing the white house have revealed their support for dejear. state. california is a beautiful state. it basically has a super majority democrat-controlled of the state legislature, obviously all of the senators, governors, at least for now. the rest of the country, what do we need to learn from california? people say what happens in california are welcome to your state eventually. >> gap. >> laura: what should and people want other than the beach and the beautiful agriculture and all that in the mountains, and so forth, but what else do the american people not want? >> what you are seeing happened in california, laura, is massive homelessness. because we don't arrest people, because we don't put them in jail, because we let them get away with everything, we have massive homelessness all over the state. it's really people who are -- it's sad, they are burned out on drugs, they have a lot of mental problems. >> laura: a lot of illegal immigrants on the streets, correct? a lot of illegal immigrants in the tent villages as well in l.a. and so forth. >> it's tough to know who they are or whether they are legal or not legal, but -- people think it's just san francisco and they hear about the feces
