authorities have identified them a 61 year-old jon radecki from calistoga. an 81 year-old frank robinson from sebastopol. radecki was found early yesterday morning in a flooded area on sanford road between occidental and hall roads. robinson was found wednesday night in a drainage tunnel on fronts valley road. with a dry couple of days ahead. people in santa rosa got a chance to clean up after all that rain and flooding crews. we're trying to clear this big tree from the road today. it fell this morning and blocked south right road. experts say when you have wet soil and strong winds swell that can cause a tree to go down. >> it's going away. thank that says it comes up. it goes down. >> residents in guernville breathing a sigh of relief tonight as the russian river continues to recede. it's now several feet below flood stage on wednesday. the river had risen to more than 4 feet over its flood stage of 32 foot. >> stuff it will take everything. everything you have. i've seen propane tanks go down, houses, trees, boats, you name it. >> the evacuation order th

reports of a tree down now that was pretty common across the bay area with these gusty winds in calistoga as those winds really whipped up. in fact, how about that would occur? had a of 83 miles per hour. i mean, that is just phenomenal. strong wind gusts there further south. reports of trees down in the brisbane. this actually on top of a person there that some dangers tough as those winds are whipping through. in fact, so toga had a wind gust at 50 miles per hour. very strong around the bay area. so wind advisory still remain in effect. but further south now into the peninsula, the south bay, the san jose area becomes continue to see some very gusty winds there that will go throughout the evening hours. and then as we head toward about 9 o'clock or so things begin to back off. and that's some good news we're going recover from all this damage. i mean, it's really a mess around the bay area. you've got the flooding. you've had some mudslides. of course, we've got issues with more flooding, possibly with the russian river. so even though that rain may have gone by, we're still seeing some

w we had over four inchesf rainfall in calistoga, while san francisco had an inch of rain.was about the same as in oakland. and then for san jose, we're in that rain shadow. we really didn't have a lot here, but it was raining very heavily in the santa cruz mountains, measuring anywhere from two to close to four inches of rainfall, and mount tam in the north bay had over 11in of rain. so now that system has lifted to the north, we're going to see the low that is offshore begin to kick this atmospheric river farther south back into the bay area this evening. and that means that the more widespread rain will be back, as we're going to be tracking not only just light rain, but pockets of heavy rain as well. so our hour by hour outlook does show that the rain begins to pick up first in the north bay and then spreading in as we go into this evening and just continuing off and on throughout the day tomorrow with some times of heavy rain until this all begins to clear late tomorrow night. so during that time we are going to see the possibility of flooding, and a flood watch will b

afternoon, the sonoma county sheriff's office sent deputies to the franz valley road northwest of calistoga, where they found a deceased person in a culvert on private property. then early this morning, another body was found southwest of that location. it was here in west santa rosa, where a man on a bicycle apparently tried to cross this expanse of water and paid for it with his life. >> well, our rescue swimmers went into the water, did a grid pattern search, and located a male victim. this area where the accident happened is in the laguna de santa rosa. so it's a notorious low level spot for us that floods very regularly, even in some of our more minor storms. it's an area that. >> with flood waters receding at a key measuring point in guerneville and lighter rains, expected attention turns to landslides after a home fell into the russian river in forestville and another was destroyed in santa rosa's fountaingrove by landslide. >> we're starting to see some of that earth not be able to absorb the water, and it's starting to move. >> super soaked soils cause power outages in two ways. >>

and since friday, we've had a lot of rainfall in the north bay over four inches in calistoga, five inches in kentfield, while mount tam had over 11.5in of rainfall. so that is exactly what was expected, with the highest rainfall farther to the north. in san francisco, it's about an inch of rainfall, about the same in oakland and in san jose. not much at all, just a few sprinkles. but it was pouring on the santa cruz mountains and some of the coastal areas that took the brunt of this atmospheric river. and we're seeing it waving now to the north. it's going to start to kick back farther to the south later on this evening and bring in another round of heavy rain. what we're seeing this morning as you're heading out, for the most part, is some light and spotty showers. a look at storm ranger. that's our mobile doppler radar showing some splotches of green here and there with some sprinkles as we're heading out. maybe just that reminder to grab the umbrella, but for the most of the day, it's going to be dry until this evening. we start to see the rain showers filling back in on the radar and
