what do you think about this, callahan? what is your take-away here? >> i think that detention facility let the public down. they have a responsibility to keep these inmates locked up. law enforcement does a great job of capturing these fugitives, these criminals. their responsibility is to make sure that they don't get back out on the streets. they're dangerous once they do. there was another inmate that escaped in may the same way. to see this happen months later, someone dropped the ball. they have -- the public and the community has every right to be upset with that detention facility. not only will this cost taxpayers a lot of money in this search but puts them at risk as well. >> martha: i mean, so someone else did the exact same thing with like a crab walk in between these two walls? >> that's my understanding. the same exercise yard, the same type of escape that this facility then brought in another company to try a third party company to try to shore up any issues that they might have had. obviously that didn't work. >> martha: it's incredible

callahan walsh joins me now, co host of "in pursuit." two weeks now he's been out there, changed clothes, he's lad a clean shave and a rifle. what do you make of it? >> i can't believe we're here still talking about this case. i can't remember a man hunt of this kind where the fugitive was spotted so many different times by so many different members of the public and still hasn't been caught. i still think the marshalls and local law enforcement are doing a great job. the terrain is difficult. we're at the end of summer. it's not like they can put a man-to-man armed locked, you know, human wall around the perimeter. there are going to be areas that can -- perimeter can be breached. i just hope this guy gets caught sooner or later without anybody getting hurt. as marshall clark said with this new update of him getting his hands on this rifle, that does have ammunition in it, it's not a good sign. he was not going to take that rifle if he's not planning on using it. >> martha: that makes him a lot more dangerous. he will use it, no doubt.
