calvert: i rise in opposition. i know a lot, from southern california, the most controlled air quality area in the united states and there are a lot of things in e.p.a. that doesn't work and a lot of things that e.p.a. does to regulate to create paperwork and head aches for small and large business people. we have created provisions to address these e.p.a. regulatory overreach. we cut the e.p.a. budget. the specific amendment targets a program that yields great benefits. many counties are currently in nonattainment with the standards. we are talking about the standards not talked about but the standards put in place in 2008. these counties have been in nonattainment for years. the diesel emissions reduction program is a proven cost effective program that provides grants to states to retrofit diesel-old engines. it supports manufacturing jobs while reducing pollution. another benefit is these grants are highly leveraged and producing benefit for every grant dollar. they produce 90%, 90% less toxic emissions than the

charles and melissa vanished after leaving the club in calvert -- stafford county last night. a helicopter spotted their 19-foot boat anchored near quiet creek. they discovered a body about a thousand feet south of the boat. a woman's body was found within side of the boat a few hours later. the police still do not know exactly what happened. only on 7 disturbing allegations against a man hired to protect the federal agency for stop gregory geneus is charged with rape and sexual child abuse. hegeneus is accused of repeatedly raping his 13-year-old stepdaughter. investigator say it may have been going on as long as a decade. a former fbi agent is headed to prison, matthew lowry will serve three years for stealing drugs from evidence rooms. more than two dozen cases were compromised because of the tampering. tom roussey has the impact of today's sentencing. tom: here at u.s. district court today, a judge said because of how many cases were compromised he had to hand down a person sentenced, but it was not his lungs it could have been. the judge sentenced former ec based fbi agen
