we still have severe thunderstorm warnings in anne arundel county and calvert county until -- now, they've been extended until 6:30. also charles county until 6:30 as well. prince george's county until 6:30 as well. we've got lots of severe weather but again, generally east of 95. if you're in leesburg, you're ok. frederick, you're ok. if you're south and east of town, not so good. southern sections of prince george's county, northern calvert county, just getting hammered with rain and the biggest threat with the storms, we've been harping on this all day is flash flooding. baden, heavy rain. deal, heavy rain. this area of red you see is rainfall rates one to two inches per hour. flash flooding comes on quickly. people going down toward st. leonard, heavy rain. between waldorf and la plata and south on 301 getting hammered with heavy rain. good news is woodbridge, rain is lighting up. that's the light green you see. quantico lighting up a little bit as well. the severe thunderstorm watch continues until 9:00. it has been trimmed. essentially, if you're west of 95, you're ok. if you're east

that includes charles county, calvert county, and st. mary's county. once again, as a flash flood warning until 9:30 there. now, earlier it was up towards frederick, maryland that we were dealing with the flash flooding. take a look at some video. this is home video now of some flooding in that area. this is right in downtown, numerous streets around the downtown area had been flooded. you can see the water just rushing right through the downtown, and people doing exactly what we tell you not to do sometimes. do not drive through flooded roadways. you just don't know how deep it is, and your car can easily get stuck. there was reports of -- we did hear reports of people having to be rescued from those cars as the rain moved through and the flooding was taking place. right now, live digital doppler radar showing rain in calvert county, towards loveville into st. mary's county. this will move out and we'll have another round later tonight, but it will not be as bad. just light to moderate rain, dorene and by tomorrow, this will all be a memory and we're

part of calvert county also under a severe thunderstorm warning with damaging winds and hail. the watch has been cancelled to the northwest of baltimore. steady progress being made. rainfall totals, with last night's rain and today, these bull's-eyes indicate over 5 inches of rain. four or 5 inches of rain in the extreme southern part of the city. you can see most areas getting a upwards of an inch or more of rain. that means the flood warnings continue for the next few hours a round of baltimore metro area. temperatures are still in the seven's and even some 80's round here but it does the color of to the west. the lower the dewpoint, the drier the air. very muddy at ocean city -- muggy at ocean city. 60's tonight as the winds shift to the northwest at 5-10. high-pressure is sitting out west of chicago and will build them. it will stick around for the whole weekend and pushed the tropical air out of here for a couple of days. the minister levels will drop. the showers are leaving ocean city early tomorrow morning and then it will be clear statewide. what some sunshine tomorro

under a severe thunderstorm watch, it includes southern maryland, charles county over towards calvert countys county, all under that severe thunderstorm watch until 10:00. i'm really not too worried about severe wal weather, though, for you. i think you willy showers. these are where the storms are, frederick county, virginia also into the pan handle of west virginia. we are going to see some showers over the next couple hours, and they will continue to move through, move to the south. but there's a few up here towards pennsylvania that could also come into western portions of maryland, hagerstown, frederick, could even clip northern virginia or the district later on this evening. but i still think we're going to be a-okay. most of those storms as they make their way east are dying out, and i think they will continue to do that throughout the evening hours. what are we expecting the next couple days? we've got this area of low pressure, this impulse in the atmosphere. and a frontal boundary just to our south. that front will continue to move down to the south tomorrow, taking most of the sho
