it happened on lion street in camden county. matt delucia is live there on line street. matt, we have actually learned that this may have been the result of a problem that could have been fixed years ago. >> reporter: chris, the people who live here say they have been trying to get the city of camden to help them with repairs ever since the house next door to them was demolished back in 2003 but their calls have been unanswered. a pretty spectacular sight with the front portion of this house that came crumbling down to line street. so police are still on the scene keeping an eye on this. now, there were people inside the home at the time. fortunately, everyone got out okay. four people live here. so here's what happened. one of the residents said she was in the middle section of the house when the front section started coming down. she ran for the back door and was able to get out okay. you'll hear her talk about her experience and then a newspaper reporter who just happened to be here yesterday doing a story about the dangers of this house. >> i was laying down. and all

a camden family is looking for a place to live after their house partially collapse collapses. >> good morning, everyone, for years they feared this could happen. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo at the scene right now to tell you more about it, jan? >> reporter: ukee, erika good morning. more on their efforts to how they try to get this home fixed up in just a minute. but you can see, really is surprising that noun was was injured here this morning pretty much nothing is left, of the front side of this building, except for the front door, all of the bricks, and other rubble, lay on the gown, in front here. there were four people inside this building when it came crashing down, partially including a little girl. now, this partial collapse happened here in the 400 block of line street in camden around 11:30 sunday night. fire and ems quickly responded, the family, again was able to escape unharmed. we spoke to a man who lived here. he says his father, mother, sister and neice, were all at home when the wall came crashing down, he says, they heard a whoosh then the next thing they
