it's good to go. >> thank you, candace. as temperatures start to tumble tonight, we're hearing an incredible story of survival following this weekend's destructive tornado near sarasota. emergency crews used a life-saving tool to dig a woman out of this debris. the roof of her siesta key collapsed on top of her, leaving her trapped. that's when firefighters stepped in for this rescue. >> she was about to escape her room when the roof caved in, leaving the 70-year-old with only 18 inches to move. the sarasota county fire department special operations raced to the scene. they tried to tunnel back to her, but knew there wasn't enough space to get her out. that's when they brought in airbags that are typically used in crashes to lift cars off the ground. the assistant chief says this is the first time they've used it after a tornado. actually lift the trusses off of the patient. >> i just hugged her and wiped some of the blood off of her face. >> crews rescued two other friends inside and charlie, the yorkie pooh. now they're l

candace mccowan joins us live. >> reporter: a lot of people talking about this. one doctor i spoke with today constantly asking about these guidelines. rachel moodey never thought she would be here. >> i was getting really nauseous, so i took a test and immediately plus signs. >> reporter: guidelines recommend women start getting screened at 50 and then two years after. >> i think that's crazy. >> reporter: dr. moffet performed 6,000 mammograms last year. >> i'm going to recommend annual screening mammography at age 40. >> reporter: the risk isn't worth the screening, claiming false positives can be expensive emotionally and financially. >> it it turns out if you ask back, they continue to support yearly testing. >> it went from five centimeters to 7.5 centimeters in weeks. so if i would have waited till it was 50, i wouldn't be here. >> reporter: no matter the guidelines both women agree waiting until 50 is the greatest risk of all. >> it just doesn't work. waiting and seeing you will lose your life with cancer. >> reporter: well the new guidelines say if you ar
