yesterday, 45 acres burned and several homes were damaged in just a few hours. the fire is now fully contained. meteorologist candace campos in for tom tonight. the dry air and winds are sure not helping things. >> reporter: absolutely. we're seeing the winds pumping in the heat across most of central florida increasing the concern of the fires spreading. you can see the winds are continuing between 13 and 18 in sanford. in brevard, you can see between 14 and up to 20 miles per hour. gusts clocking to 30 miles per hour. the winds will continue throughout the night and even into tomorrow. also factoring in is the heat out there. look at the highs out there today. 82 in orlando and 83 in kissimmee. along the coast, upper 70's to low 80's because of the on shore breeze and the low humidity factors in the firefighting. 52% in sanford. 67% in cape canaveral and 45% in kissimmee. so again we have a ridge of high pressure in control, continuing to keep the winds moving in from the south-southeast. you can see choppy seas and a chance for rip currents as well. days. how long the warm stretch will minutes. >> lisa: thank you
