right now candace dold has more in the traffic edge. candace. >> reporter: thank you steve. for amtrak service, this corridor right now from baltimore to philadelphia is a-okay, but most service south from washington d.c. has already been canceled. so we will continue to keep you up-to-date but that is the latest information for you. now also, something to talk about on the mta buses, the commuter bus service all afternoon buses will actually be running 3 hours early. we're in the green there, but again that is early. the marx train camden line has already canceled train 8:52 and the marx train bro brunswick li, train 857 has been canceled as well. the goo news is other trains will be running but you will find major delays on the rails. as for what is happening on the roadways, so far the coast is clear, no snow to talk about, but inner and outer loop lanes are cruising along up to speed there. the entire stretch from 95 up toward 83, we're looking at an 11-minute ride, 53 miles per hour and 54 miles per hour with just an 8 minute clip from he 83 all the way up toward 795. t

candace dold is back with another look at the traffic edge. how are he we looking now, candace. >> reporter: well, steve when you look at and look out your window you you're going to find a slushy mess. we want to show you what it looks like in rogers forge. here you can see people getting out and trying to warm up their cars and getting the covet parking spot there. it's going to cost you a little bit of extra time in newer neighborhood -- in your neighborhood. let's check out westminister, we are looking at clear conditions. this is route 40 moving at angler road, it's just a bit slick but no snow, it's actually on the main line. again, just getting into your car going to be the extra annoying factor for you this morning. as for what it looks like on the main lines, well, let's check in on the west side of the beltway, moving right at liberty road. here it is, you can see the cars are zipping along. the favorable conditions, and the crews did a good job with main lines. unfortunately that is going to be good news for the morning commute. as f

candace dold is here with the traffic edge. dace. >> reporter: it's interesting. it's a mixed bag. right moving through the rogers forge area, and here you can see not really accumulation on that road, but it's going to be a bit slushy and of course, check out the cars. they are the big time annoying factor, because you do have to dig in a little bit. but residents say that it's kind of developing, because there's an icy layer on the bottom of all of this. we will continue to keep you up-to-date on that. we haven't had any accidents in the area. na is at least good news. we do have an accident involving an overturned car. it's the new one on route 100 moving right at ritchie highway. we will continue to keep you up-to-date but there's no lane closures as a result of that just a true testament to the fact that you need to slow down this morning if you are heading out there. on 97, moving right through the area, it's going to be problem-free on both the southbound lanes and the northbound stretch all the way up toward the beltway.

can dallas dold is live from ellicott city. candace, hello, again. >> reporter: hello again, the 1-2, punch and here we are. it's the wintery mix coming down, i can hear it smacking against my jacket. road conditions we're at a shell station right here. we're looking at the actual conditions. you can tell it's a crunchy, clushy kind ocrunchy, clushy ki. we wanted to know what it looks like out there so we caught one of the plow drivers, hi, rafael. you came to the gas station and what did you find. >> absolutely nothing and it's going to be a challenge for the fuel. >> reporter: absolutely and we're talking about the diesel fuel is what we're talking about? >> i was at a station yesterday and they're out of all fuel. >> i cannot believe that, but that's going to be a huge problem not just drivers but for the all-important plow drivers like yourself. what are you finding out there? >> right now the roads are horrible. if you can stay home, stay home, you won't get anywhere, it's not worth your efforts. >> you do not want to be overconfi

candace dold is in ellicott city. and candace, you were pointing out something that i had a problem with. i had to go to four different gas stations before i found one with gas. >> i know. i cannot believe it and i have heard many stories like that. in fact, we're at a gas station at el so ellicott city. it's been slow. there's a 50 that pulled up, and is getting gas. basically we have one person that is here getting gas. we're thinking, what is happening it's not hopping like it was over the weekend because they're out of diesel fuel. that is causing a huge problem for these snowplow drivers. this is really an issue, because i'm telling you this snow is coming down out here. in fact, i have a cup out here. there's a little bit of ice on the bottom. we're going to measure exactly how much snow come down. let's see. so we're at a good 2, almost 2 inches right now. this cup has been out since 4:30. so just over two hours and we have two inches coming down. and the winds are just starting to pick up which is really blowin

that is where candace dold is. when we saw her earlier it looked like a sleet mixture earlier, but what is it, candace, is that snow. >> reporter: it's turning into a slushy mess. we have drivers that are coming by right now. can you start to see what it is like out there. i mean, you can really -- you can just hear that mess as they go down the road and basically, this is kind of an interesting situation we have. what we're dealing with is pretty much a little bit of a layer of ice on the bottom. i decided to fill up a cup and here is the ice on the bottom. now here is the actual snow that is on top. i had this cup out for about an hour or so, and so i decided to see how much accumulation we have gotten already and i can show you. well, we're up to about a good inch. so you know, it's really starting to fall down here. when i first got here, this isn't much, but it really, truly is. we're seeing the crunchy stuff. i can pick up the little pieces here of hard-packed snow with a little bit of ice mixed in. it's becom
