candace dold is here with the traffic edge. dace. >> reporter: it's interesting. it's a mixed bag. right moving through the rogers forge area, and here you can see not really accumulation on that road, but it's going to be a bit slushy and of course, check out the cars. they are the big time annoying factor, because you do have to dig in a little bit. but residents say that it's kind of developing, because there's an icy layer on the bottom of all of this. we will continue to keep you up-to-date on that. we haven't had any accidents in the area. na is at least good news. we do have an accident involving an overturned car. it's the new one on route 100 moving right at ritchie highway. we will continue to keep you up-to-date but there's no lane closures as a result of that just a true testament to the fact that you need to slow down this morning if you are heading out there. on 97, moving right through the area, it's going to be problem-free on both the southbound lanes and the northbound stretch all the way up toward the beltway.

candace dold is in ellicott city. and candace, you were pointing out something that i had a problem with. i had to go to four different gas stations before i found one with gas. >> i know. i cannot believe it and i have heard many stories like that. in fact, we're at a gas station at el so ellicott city. it's been slow. there's a 50 that pulled up, and is getting gas. basically we have one person that is here getting gas. we're thinking, what is happening it's not hopping like it was over the weekend because they're out of diesel fuel. that is causing a huge problem for these snowplow drivers. this is really an issue, because i'm telling you this snow is coming down out here. in fact, i have a cup out here. there's a little bit of ice on the bottom. we're going to measure exactly how much snow come down. let's see. so we're at a good 2, almost 2 inches right now. this cup has been out since 4:30. so just over two hours and we have two inches coming down. and the winds are just starting to pick up which is really blowin
