i took that sense of purpose, and i worked at the office of united states senator cantwell, i worked on her immigration services staff but more importantly i worked on her staff advocating for those democratic values, those values of truth, honesty, inclusion and tolerance. i took that sense of purpose and i went to school at hastings college of law. there i served as vice president of one of the largest law schools, largest public law schools in the country. i took that sense of purpose, and i applied to the san francisco courts indegint panel and there i work on behalf excuse the expression, dirt poor residents who cannot afford an attorney of their own. but i did not stop there. i took that sense of purpose, and i founded the radio and television program that originate, on ksfs called folk law to give voice to the issues facing san francisco now these are not the issues that make the 10:00 o'clock news, these are the issues like parking, these are the issues like domestic violence prevention and funding for the arts that are dear to my heart and are dear to the hearts of residents
