and everybody cape mendocino south should be pretty dry for into through early march. it looks like it's going to be i mean the model the long range models are very limited in terms of our potential for rain this wednesday. thing is our best bet for a while. there is tomorrow morning and thejere's tomorrow afternoon. this is the model okay. and then here is wednesday morning. and this is, this is this isp! the headline wednesday lunchtime and gone. maybe a few sprinkles, maybe a few snow flurries in the mountains. it'll rain up around crescent city. it'll rain up around point arena. but for us for us, for the central bay area and nine bay area counties, it's pretty much going to be dry, except maybe sonoma, maybe a little bit of marin. here are the forecast highs. and yeah greg's right i mean it was that was a heck of a storm last week. and this thing coming wednesday i just got a chance in there because it's nothing. nothing like what we had. we've got plenty of rain. we've got plenty of snow. always use more, but we're not going to see anything probably till early ma

then there's cape mendocino areas north will be getting rain.ld see 3 or 4in of rain over the next few days. it's a lot of a lot of weather. and it's going again north of cape mendocino for the next few days. so portland, seattle, eureka, crescent city and then us, everybody south shouldn't be much of anything. if anything, we warm up nicely into the low 70s on the weekend. you'll see on the five day forecast. so here we are tomorrow morning. right. and then stop it up at 10 a.m. all right. models even backed away from it here. this is a different model run. so this is noon on tomorrow. so right what do you do with that. you don't certainly don't change your plans based on that. and then the next couple of days look nice and warms up. and especially on the weekend we'll find temperatures very springlike probably going to hear some birds chirping in the backyard. you're probably going to see some bees out on the lawn. it's just going to be a really nice weekend coming up, very mild to warm and just nothing staring us down. as a matter of fact, we

the dynamics are going to be cape mendocino, north crescent city right here. get into some rain. you're an inch and a half of rain probably. but everybody south of cape mendocino is going to end up in this kind of diffuse area down here, which doesn't have a lot of dynamics. so light scattered sprinkles and not a big deal. that was the live radar. this is the forecast model. and this is tomorrow morning. i don't know what you do with that. right. it might be a little wet on the road a little bit of glaze on 101 going through the waldo tunnel. here's 11 a.m. just before lunchtime, central bay and then gone by noontime 2:00 and then clears out. maybe. interesting. it's going to it could be more than that. like right now what i'm looking at is it's it looks like nothing on the radar. but there is a, there is enough dynamic north that if it did slip a little south that we would see some rain like crescent city again. they're going to get a couple inches of rain up there. inch and a half point arena is going to get some rain, maybe a half inch up there. so if thing

and it's it will have good impact north of cape mendocino. that's point arena north and up into crescent city and into portland and seattle. but for us, it's nothing really at this latitude. and we stay dry right through the early part of march. so we're looking at, you know, the first week of march before we have a shot at some rain. so we're going to dry out for a little bit, but we've got plenty of moisture. i mean, you can always use more, but in terms of fuel moisture, in terms of fire concerns, even in southern california. here's the highs from today. pretty impressive. highs tomorrow will be about the same. i'll be back. i'll do the full forecast and we'll lookay., people across the southern us are cleaning up from severe weather that slammed the region over the weekend. heavy rains caused severe flooding in parts of the tennessee valley. in kentucky, more than a month's worth of rain fell over the state in less than 24 hours. at least 12 people have died in storms in that state, and authorities say about 1000 people had to be rescued

they're going to get an inch, inch and a half of rain north of cape mendocino. but we're on the south end. so the other thing to take away from this long range model map is no rain for a while. like the next real decent chance of rain. looks like it's early march, so we're running into a dry run here, which is. it's okay. we're fine. we've gotten plenty of rain, which is, you know, you can always have more. but we did well last week, remember? and la did well too. so fuel moistures are up. things are greening up out there. days are getting longer. mount diablo overnight lows tonight. not going to be that cold, which is kind of pleasant. i think the cloud cover helps with that, but we will see temperatures tomorrow drop back down into the low 60s today we had low 60s some mid 60s, some low 60s. tomorrow it will be like 6162. that kind of a thing because of the clouds and the sprinkle activity. and then we warm up. that's the other piece of the puzzle here. temperatures this week and into the 70s possibly. so we'll check that out as well. so wednesday looks like a

the long range models are sinking up saying it's not going to rain south of cape mendocino for down here early part of march. maybe it's got the first week of march kind of dry for the most part. now everything up above point arena and then this area there will be rain like crescent city. got a good amount of rain today, over an inch and a half. they're going to get a couple more inches here as this next flurry of weather comes in. we're just on the southern end, so we're going to stay dry. we're going to stay warm during the day and mild to cool at night. but no crazy overnight lows, which is pleasant. so the weather headline i think is warmer. that's in the long, you know, down the road and then dry for a while, dry for a while, and won't see anything in southern california. as i mentioned, this pattern has set them up with some santa ana wind conditions. but because they've got all that rain last week, it's not code red. it's not red flag warning stuff. they maybe they'll put they'll post one up. but in terms of fire danger, much, much, much, much, much lessened over what happened a f

that's cape mendocino point arena is right here. and so that's the heaviest rain will be there.e on the south end of it. and we will be for a while a lot of activity in the pacific northwest all the way into northern california for the next few days for the next few days. but for us, we're just going to be on the south end. we're going to notice temperatures heating up. very, very impressive satellite image, though. and as you know, and as you've learned that you get this much activity, there's wind at the surface. so you've got swell coming out of here. so the waves the next week are going to fluctuate. like today it was 8 to 10. it'll be six day or four day tomorrow, 4 to 6 tomorrow, then back to 8 to 10, 10 to 12. it's going to fluctuate, but the swells are big. so you crab fishermen folks going to the beach just be you know, it's not going to be a cakewalk anytime soon. there's plenty of swell generated. there's tomorrow morning. this is the forecast model. so there's tomorrow morning and then there's tomorrow. right. would you call rain? yeah. you need an umbrella? no, i do

and the long range models are void of any opportunities for precipitation at least south of cape mendocino crescent city and point arena. you guys got some a few more shots coming your way. but for us, everybody south down from santa rosa into san jose, it's going to be dry. and at least this week, at least in the next five days and probably in the next five days after that is what it looks like. but lots can change, right? i shouldn't shouldn't be down now. but the upshot to this is like southern california has some wind issues, right? they're going to have wind advisories and wind warnings, and santa ana winds down there into friday. but they got a bunch of rain and with a bunch of rain, the fuel moistures are up and the chances of a big fire are down. it's not at all like the code red that we saw in the palisades a few weeks ago, when you had no rain for months and months and months. and then this wind, the wind is going to show up. not as strong, probably, but windy, 50, 60 miles an hour. but you've got fuel, moisture. and up here we have a lot of good fuel moisture as well. so here is
