fire at capitola village early this morning. it happened around 5 a.m. behind el toro bravo on monterey avenue. crews closed nearby san jose avenue while they fought the fire. unfortunately, no one was hurt. firefighters are still investigating the cause of this fire, but public works say the explosion may have been caused by a natural gas leak. we have a crew in capitola tonight and will have more coming up in our newscast at 11. new at six. a san mateo man is now behind bars after he was arrested for stealing items at safeway and then resisting arrest. this was at the safeway on south el camino real in san mateo. it happened yesterday afternoon. an employee told reported that a man had stolen items from the store. officers found the suspect walking near 17th and palm avenue. they approached him. they say he grabbed a metal chain and swung it near. an officer then tried to fight the officers. the suspect was eventually arrested. thousands of senior citizens in san francisco received hot christmas meals today thanks to the salvation army. the organizatio
