tim caputo joins us on the phone now with some breaking details. >>reporter: a terrifying situation when you consider just how busy this part of town is, tremont, beacon street, a bunch of one ways here. some of the guys who were in the cars that were involved in this wreck. it's a four car wreck witht least one pedestrian, a jeep, a purple jeep with new hampshire plates was coming up the street the wrong way in reverse and turned on to another street the wrong way still in reverse causing a fourth car to hit into them and hitting a pedestrian in all of we are told two people hospital. boston ems telling us one of those people in serious condition, the other only have minor injuries. this entire street is roped off. they've got it down to one lane on tremont street certainly causing a pretty bad backup at this time of day. i spoke with three of the drivers, they were not hurt. we don't know the condition of the one driver going in reverse different streets. we're told one of the people taken to the hospital was in their 50s. to his 40s. police are
