this is an 80-car train. we're told it was carrying coal and that some of that coal spilled off on to a parking lot on to some cars that were parked in a parking lot. this all began a little after midnight last night. apparently, according to officials on the scene, there were two people on the rail bridge, not exactly sure what they were doing on that bridge, but we're told they were on the tracks and that's at the time when the derailment occurred and presumably the engineer, the driver of this train, tried to slam on the brakes. now, crews still here on the scene. they are going to be here for quite some time. they have 21 railcars that they're going to have to upright. we're going to have to clean all that coal up and clear out the area. also, take a look at those cars in the parking lot p just to make sure there was nobody in any of those vehicles. right now, though, we have two people who are dead here on the scene. and the investigation into exactly what happened and why continues. reporting live in el
