>> northern virginia bureau chief julie carey broke this story at 5:00 and joins us from the fairfax county courthouse to tell us why police think there could be other victims. >> reporter: these search warrant documents i discovered at the courthouse today tell the horrifying tale of two women who came here from mongolia a few months ago to study. one woman tells police when she got here she was warned to be aware of a couple at the boston mongolian women. but these two did not see the danger in the woman that approached them about a house cleaning job. the two women tell police they were at boston common mall in arlington on mashlg 8th going store to store inquiring about jobs. according to the search warrant affidavit, another mongolian woman approached them. she told them she owned a house cleaning business and had a home that needed cleaning. a man who worked at the mall drove them to his burke home. there the women say they were offered wine. they say their customs dictate ta they drink it. but both say they both soon blacked out and remember very

northern virginia bureau chief julie carey spoke with a neighbor who says it's not the first time he's had to rush out to help. >> reporter: you can see the path cut by the honda civic as it came flying off georgetown pike coming to rest right here where it rolled over and then things got even worse when it burst into flames. it was around 12:30 this morning when john was awakened by the sound, a sound he's heard before. >> i heard a noise, a huge crash, i immediately looked out the window and saw a car upside down over there. >> reporter: he dress and raced outside, but by that time the car was on fire flames shooting up through the trees. the driver and three of the four passengers had escaped but one woman was trapped inside. fennell and the driver searched for a way to get her out. >> screaming in the car, he and i managed to reach in and grab her shirt and then find a hand and pull her through a window gap that was about this big. and meanwhile it's getting really hot. it melted all the wires right above. the flames were probably 35 feet high. >> reporter: rescue crews hat rolled

here's northern virginia bureau chief julie carey. >> reporter: this is one of two small planes used by a flight school called skyline aviation at the orange airport. the second crashed in a field just beyond the runway there yesterday. it killed the student pilot inside 16-year-old ryan mccaul of spotsylvania. today investigators back on the scene to try to figure out what went wrong. this is what the scene looked like today as the ntsb faa, and state police investigators combed over the wreckage. an ntsb spokesman says ryan mccaul had just taken off from the orange airport when witnesses saw the plane bank to the left and crash. ryan was a student at skyline aviation and his flight instructor was observing as the plane went down. this afternoon, the family of the river bend high school sophomore released this photo along with a statement reading in part "ryan was our beloved middle son, a typical teenager whom we loved so much and who himself had a passion for flying that he'd already learned hi license to pilot at the young age of 16." on news4 at 5:00 you'll hear more from those

northern virginia bureau chief julie carey joins us live from the memorial where she met with some of the relatives of those being honored. julie? >> reporter: you're about to get a sneak peek but right now the tarps are back on the center piece of this memorial five glass panels that will be lit up for the first time tomorrow night and on them the names of 18 fallen officers. officer who is now will be honor at this place for decades to come. the finishing touch is being put on a memorial to 18 officers killed while protecting the city of alexandria. these commemorative plaques go back to 1823 when officers were called constables. 1989 is the year that changed jenny's life. it was the here her husband, charlie hill was shot and killed while on a special operations team at a hostage incident. >> when charlie died i promised him i would never be forgotten and this memorial will make all of them never forgotten. and that was what's most important to me. >> reporter: ginny's dedicated the last year and a half to getting the memorial built. the site has the history of the police departmen

as northern virginia bureau chief julie carey reports, they're being targeted when they're working at their restaurants. >> reporter: these home security signs aim to deter would-be burglars but for one fairfax county resident on this block, it didn't work. to protect the victim's identity we aren't showing much of the house, but police say this case is one of three recently in which thieves targeted homes of chinese restaurant owners while they were away at work. this neighbor remembers a series of break-ins a few years ago that targeted families of indian descent. >> they know when the houses are empty so, they've done some background work on that. >> reporter: in addition to the break-in at a home in this neighborhood near herndon, a townhouse near fair oaks was hit and a home in ashburn was targeted. once inside the suspects are taking cash julie, designer handbags and in one case rare chinese liquor. search warrant documents reveal they are passing up valuable electronics left in plain view. all the break-ins occur when the homeowners are at their restaurant working. >> so clearl

northern virginia bureau chief julie carey was with the victim's wife as she met with those who savedband. >> my dear husband had a heart attack at her home. >> reporter: tears of gratitude shed by susan castle as she thanked the fairfax county police officer who helped save her husband's life. this was jim castle on march 1st hours after a massive heart attack at his great falls home. it was the sunday of the ice storm. officer nathan keysore was first to arrive. >> he looked like a dead body. he department have a pulse, he wasn't breathing. i assumed he was dead. >> reporter: susan had already been doing chest compressions. >> i was so exhausted from doing cpr and right -- literally i was saying a prayer for strength and officer keysor walks in the door. >> reporter: he took over the cpr. >> i started the cpr and just amazingly he started breathing again. and i kept it up and the fire department got there. and they asked me to continue cpr while they got their stuff ready to go. >> reporter: fairfax county fire and rescue medics were next to jump in to what they call the chain of su
