it is really over the open waters of the caribbean right now, gaining fuel. that is why we expect it to increase. so right now 85-mile-per-hour winds. a category 1 storm. it will end up eventually as a category 4 storm. just a massive storm. this started out as a tropical storm. it was expected on monday to remain a tropical storm. maybe even fizzle out as it went over hispaniola. that didn't happen. a jog to the north changed everything. right now 220 miles north-northwest of san juan, puerto rico, moving at 13 miles per hour. that's been the pace the past 48 to 72 hours. that's going to slow down as we get closer to the coast, closer to the bahamas. that is good news. we'll see lots of rain dumped in those areas because it is going to slow down tremendously. right now looking at the track, a category 1 storm. look what happens by friday. jumping up to a category 3 storm. that's because there is nothing in its way but this warm, warm water. the fuel for the storm to really get it going. category 3 storm as it goes through saturday and then by sunday anywhere
