and we have tropical storm carina. there is no threat to land. what a is interesting is the warm waters sustaining the storms, they are expected to recirculate back and eventually the moisture is expected to come toward the desert southwest. that could enhance the monsoon rainfall. of course when you have these tropical systems you need the warm water to sustain them. i am watching warm water. look at the bouie temperatures. half moon bay and monterey bay, low to mid60s. even bodega bay is at 58 degrees. that's also responsible for why you are seeing such mild temperatures. from our exploratorium camera, some low clouds and temperatures are in the low to mid60s. running higher by a few degrees. i just had to make some adjustments to the low temperatures. temperatures in the low 60s 60s in novato and pretty uniform and here is a view from the kgo roof camera. looking out along the embarcadero the it, it is gray and drizzly. it is bouncing us back to where we should be. here is the aer -- here is the area of low pressure. the drizzly conditions. we

we have another storm, a tropical storm carina. very active hurricane season so far. these two storms expected to generate southerly surf in southern california. it's going to be higher than normal surf. that raises the risk of rip currents. for us, believe it or not, lowell is kick it up. really, the swell coming from different directions could pose a danger to some of you heading out on the water. keep that in mind. beautiful view from the camera, looking at a shallow fac layer, 1200 feet deep. here is a look at the temperatures. 72 in oakland, 76 in san jose. 87 in gilroy. the highs today, mid to upper 60s at the coast. livermore, you hit 90 degrees. feeling like summer again. patchy low clouds, sunny, 82 in santa rosa. 86 in livermore. up close and personal with the fog from the south beach camera. you will see patchy fog overnight tonight. cooler. mild to warm weather. wait for this weekend. the cloud pattern showing you a coast aal eddie that pulled awa clouds from the beaches. it's been a nice, sunny afternoon. the biggest change in the north bay. santa rosa, t

things are starting to get a little more interesting but as we take a look, this is tropical storm carinao the west, but as of now, it doesn't look like it's going to nearly make its way crease to hawaii. in fact, the current track keeps it well out over the pacific and it will have no impacts on land. so, it's expected to remain on the weak side. now, as we take a look across the water of the atlantic, we are monitoring two tropical wave earlier this morning, it looked a little more impressive but now the national hurricane center brought the possibilities for formation from this invest 95 l down to 2%. it doesn't look we will see much activity. closer to home, we are watching out for symptoms across the midwest and across the northern plainsr plains and into florida, we got off to a quiet start. now those storms, we have lightning and as this west coast seabreeze continues to move inland, it's putting in heavy down pours. as it makes its way toward the east coast, we are expecting stronger storms, wind gusts up to 40 to 50 miles per hour and maybe the possibility of water stopping. bell
