goldman, we should point out, is joining us via skype. first of all, carlining us. how are you feeling? >> i'm feeling great. i still have a little cough, but other than my first day when i got here to omaha with a high fever, i've been feeling fine. this has been like a minor, minor cold for me. my wife and i had boarded the diamond princess on a cruise to japan on january 17th. i think the biggest -- was march. she's home now because she never got the virus and here i sit in wonderful omaha where the folks have been just fabulous. >> let me just ask, because everyone probably wants to know this. what does it feel like to have the coronavirus? i know you said you're feeling great now. what was the first symptom? what was the worst, you know, what does it compare to exactly? >> yeah, the common denominator seems to be a spiked very high fever in a quick amount of time. we had been sent back from the diamond princess over to the states on a 747 cargo plane. when i got on the plane, i fell asleep. i was still feeling fine when we got on the plane. fell asleep

joining us is carl goldman. are you now back in california? >> i am.just heard and you've heard, we're now quarantined in our entire state. >> how are you feeling in general before we get to how you're feeling about -- how are you feeling in general? >> i'm feeling great. i totally rid of the virus. it really only hit me for about a day with a high fever. if i wasn't contagious, i would have been back at work 48 hours later. it ended up being 29 days for me to finally test negative a bunch of times to be able to get out. it took me a long time to rid the virus. but really, i didn't have any symptoms after a few days other than a dry cough that lingered with me. >> and, carl, look, you were in isolation for weeks and weeks at that hospital and now you're hearing this breaking news that's basically saying you're ordered to stay home, right? how are you feeling about that? >> well, i decided based on the reaction to me back here, my wife and i made a decision that i was going to stay quarantined for at least a few weeks here. i feel for the entire state r
