i'm carl parker. we're watching a quiet day right now. that's going to change.rain here across the tennessee valley and down into florida as well. that's the developing storm. wet weather in some areas that need it across the south. a little bit of stormy weather in florida. that will increase in the carolinas tonight. then the storm moves up the coast. snow develops in interior parts of the northeast and then late saturday the storm is going to bomb out, which is to say it's going to get a lot more intense. a lot of wind, very heavy snow through interior parts of the northeast. it's a tricky call for the 95 corridor. a few inches in boston, new york city, 5 to 8 in hartford. 3 to 5 in philly. 6 to 12, farther west, allentown bo poughkeepsie and the litchfield hills. with a lot of leaves on trees and heavy wet snow and wind 30 to 40 miles per hour, that could be enough to cause widespread power outages. that's a big worry going into this weeken. in the meantime, very quiet for the country. looks beautiful in los angeles. p 7 today. rina is just about no more. ch
