the nypd now looking for a cbs 2's dave carlin joins us dave. >> reporter: kristine, the way. some of them wore ski masks. suspects hid in bushes and jumped out before the victims had time to flee. all three armed robberies had common. police are looking for a group of teenagers. they say the boys targeted victims including some walking in pairs including this location monday night into tuesday. victims reported seeing at least four suspects, some with what looked like handguns. >> my mom used to always send me every article anytime would happen here. the park at night. >> reporter: will you stop? >> yes. >> i don't usually walk in the it's scary. >> reporter: police say 11:15 monday night, a park path near west 9 th street and west -- 96th street and west drive became a crime scene as one holding a black handgun. the victim a 33-year-old queens man, the robbers took his backpack with credit cards and two phones inside. about half-hour later the crime wave continued. around 11:49 p.m. inside the park alongside the reservoir near 91st street the victims were two women ages 45 a

[ music ] >> reporter: joe is a homeless artist from boston a decade ago saying he was doing well as a drywall installer and tattoo artist but after a friend died he said he went into a deep depression spiraled into homelessness and doesn't speak to his parents much. he says for about eight month he and his friends lived about 10 blocks north in union square. but he says it was recent holiday activity that squeezed them out. here in union square take a look at just how jam-pa
