republican jim carlin announced his candidacy for the iowa house. dozens gathered in the library in sergeant bluff-luton elementary for the announcement , this afternoon. when asked how he came to this decision, carlin says he's concerned for future generations. "like a lot of grandparents, we're concerned about the future of our grandchildren," said carlin.
