i just wanted to acknowledge that carlos garcia, our superintendent, was honored at the event because he was retiring and stepping down for the council. i want to remind people that all of our high school students will be going to three sites, most of whom will be going to city college. those who have not registered for anything, we will register them for city college no matter what. there will be a large group going to street mary's -- st. mary's. then mission day has opened their campus for all of the kids going to a uc system. this will be an opportunity for them to burn about the transition from high school to college. -- learn about the transition from high school to college. the asia-pacific celebration is on may 8. there is a challenge to submit a community service or art project that relates to asian heritage. that deadline is april 13. a club can win $750 for their club, which is a pretty big deal. we have over 90 nominations for the teacher of the month award. it was probably one of the largest we have had. we will be narrowing down those nominations and we will be making an
