this opportunity came along wh started working for former supervisor carmen chu and she became the district 4 sunset district supervisor. that was my firstent row in politics and government in a different level. and so when i was finishing up my time working for legislative aid i thought, i will go off and do something else. may be explore opportunity outside of city government what was then approached by this opportunity to also serve as a district 4 supervisor. if not the traditional route that many people think of when you enter in politics. a lot know that is manage than i want to do and run for office. that was not part of my culture and upbringing with manage my parents were wondering why i wanted to go in that role this legislation and important because so many women when have it return to work after having a child feel embarrassed or don't feel comfortable asking their supervisor for will any lactation accommodations. i saw it as an opportunity you could use the position where you have tools creating legislation and pass laws and where people listen to to you help the community and

you will from them in a little bit but i want to thank carmen chu, city administrator. carmen chu. >> thank you so much for bringing us together and for celebrating this occasion. i want to thank so many of the leaders, dennis herrera, so many that were part of this. i would like to share the story that were shared because it matters in people's lives. when i was the recorder, where marriages were allowed and we made the decision as a city to keep our doors open over the weekend so people didn't have to wait a minute longer to get married. people were saying, why is that important, why can't you do this on monday and why do this extra thing? the reason is because people waited too long. there was a couple who were getting married and drove all the way to san francisco to get married over the weekend and they came because one was going to be shipped off to military service. when you think about the impacts people make, it makes a world of difference in the security and the lives and the love that were created. i'm happy to be recognized and to be acknowledged for the work. it is great to see kathleen right now. there are 200 couples who are going to get married

and city administrator carmen chu and doug and, you know, it is a much bigger issue than just the san francisco fire department but, i also wanted to figure out how we get the most money out of the current bond that we have. so our, our team mike mullins team, is going to sit down with public works and go line item by line item like you had suggested, commissioner collins, we're suppose to start with a one project and come to an understanding to see what is the pael between nexus between their pricing and, you know, approved vendor pricing. so that will take place t has not yet, but they're on it. the budget and appropriations committee, last week, there was hearing for the overtime supplemental. and so for us, we did not need to ask for more money, we just need today transfer money from our salaries that was extra to the overtime. so, i know in the past pd has asked for we don't, we just have to ask for it to be moved from one basically, one line item to another. so that passed and it goes to the pull board. with chief mullin, we did a station visit at station 18, it's always nice to
