next speaker, please. >> my name is carmen lee. i am a san francisco housing authority member in hunters point and a member of power. i urge you to support this, to pass this resolution calling for free fast passes. not only do i think that youth, low-income youth from all over the city, should get frites fast passes. i think all youth should get free fast passes, considering they already have enough stress getting to and from school. the kids do not need any more stress, getting citations and that kind of thing. i think all of them should have free fast passes and an easy way to get to school. i have two children of my own. they are 6 and 8 years old. they are on school buses every day. i know next year the school buses are going to be cut quite a bit. i will be in the same boat as all of my members from power. i urge you to pass that. thank you. maria gonzales, frank lara, olsen martinez, carmen lee, norah calderon, jonah abernathy. if you can please come forward and speak, you each have two minutes. thank you. >> good afternoon, a supervisor. my name is joanne and i am a member of power. i want to make a quick comment. i would like to see the comments come first for the experts come and speak. sometimes, we do not get our answers from the experts. we take our comments and leave, but we do not get there in point -- that their input on what we commented on. i have three kids and one adult child. i have a budget of $980 a month. i spend $450 on rent. i spend a $200 on fast passes to get on unique a month. -- get on muni a month. this is for a family of four. the would like free passes. it would stop the children from getting on the back door to try to get their education. also, i would like to see it because 80% of my neighborhood does not know anything about what is going on down here. i would like to see some of the outreach go into my neighborhood so they would know what is going on about these test passes. i di

[applause] you are all supposed i did not y applause time, a lesson for you students here. what we're doing here is important. we are also announcing a new team of people, and that is notably why mayer brown is here. he is committed to lead a civic effort to help significantly enhance the foundation's already good work, to raise additional money for this museum. mayer brown and dennis herrera, are leading that effort. as the future ex-mayor, perhaps i can be committed to that effort, to go out there and to seek to reach, not only within the san francisco community but throughout the bay area and state, nation, and for that matter, around the world, to raise the millions of dollars that need to be raised by the foundation to put it on more permit financial footing. so the purpose of the day was to celebrate the work that has been done and the case that there is a l

[applause] >> thank you, claudine. good evening, everybody. happy new year. i am very honored to join supervisor chu, a supervisor carmen chu, eric mar, and jane kim, and supervisor campos, supervisor mirkarimi, malia cohen is here as well. it is a wonderful occasion to celebrate our chinese new year at city hall. i want to welcome all of you here. i have been thinking about my first month on this job. as you know, i try not to follow the speech sometimes that i scripted for. i tried to speak what is on my mind. the thought here is that it is no longer a lunar new year celebration just for our chinese community. what our community now has to offer is really expanding the family to all of these other diverse groups in san francisco. that is what makes this so wonderful. we can share what this joyous occasion means and connect with all the other families of the city, whether african american, latino families, russian families, or all of the some groups of our asian families, it is what makes the city very special. if i have seen anything the first 30 days of this inaugural apartment that was historic redone by our board o
